How Did She Do That?

The challenge for this week was Levitation.  I almost skipped this week.  I didn’t think that there was any chance that I could capture a floating object with my iPhone.  But I watched some tutorial videos and decided to give it a try.

I wanted my subject to be simple.  So I peeled a banana and included the peel in the photo.  I had some clear nylon thread used for jewelry making and I thread that through the cupboard handles above the stove.  I tied each end around the banana and made it float.  Then I used the spot healing brush in my photo editing software (PhotoScape X-cheap version of Photoshop and Lightroom) and removed the clear string.  I didn’t do much else for editing, just upped the contrast, brightness and sharpened it a bit.  I’m proud of my efforts and it was fun.

For those of you wondering about the banana I used it in a chia seed banana breakfast pudding.  I made one batch and put into 4 serving size jars to eat for breakfasts this week. If I like the pudding I’ll post the recipe.

am in my early 50's and enjoy writing about all of the stuff that comes up when you are in your early 50's. I am somewhat disorganized with blogging, thus I have several blogs started, then forgotten about once those "thoughts" give away to other "thoughts." This musing of a blog seems to be the one I come back to the most, so here is where you will find me.
