When life gets in the way…

I blinked and months have passed. I haven’t taken pictures, I haven’t blogged. What have I done? Let’s just say that being an adult interferes with all the fun things in life. Nothing drastic has happened, just all of the everyday chores and responsiblities, combined with family and work obligations. I miss the days of childhood when I had time to enjoy the great outdoors and spend all day at the local swimming pool. I earned play time after cleaning my room or making my bed. As an adult it seems the task and chore list is never ending and by the time we plow through it there is no time for fun or I am just too exhausted for it.

What I have been doing is planting annuals and perennials. I love planting stuff and watching it grow. I get extremely excited when the flower or plant is as expected, and sad when nothing happens, but that is all a part of the process. This year I experimented with seedlings. Yesterday they went into their summer homes (pots or ground.)  I will try to find the time to keep my blog updated with their progress.

We like things to manifest right away, and they may not. Many times, we’re just planting a seed and we don’t know exactly how it is going to come to fruition. It’s hard for us to realize that what we see in front of us might not be the end of the story.

am in my early 50's and enjoy writing about all of the stuff that comes up when you are in your early 50's. I am somewhat disorganized with blogging, thus I have several blogs started, then forgotten about once those "thoughts" give away to other "thoughts." This musing of a blog seems to be the one I come back to the most, so here is where you will find me.
