As I grow older I find that my life is lived by lists. I have several shopping lists on my smart phone (I love “out of milk”) , I keep a running list of grocery needs on a magnetic white board on the fridge, I have a ton of lists at work both on my computer and on post it’s all over my cubicle. Almost every weekend I make a task list of all of the things I need to get done. I’ve looked for smart phone apps for task lists but I’ve never found one that I like so I stick to paper lists for my “to do” lists. Every time I go on a vacation I make a list of what I need to pack. I am so dependent on my lists that there are times I make lists for what I need lists for! I also use my smart phone for reminders, and have even tried to use my calendar reminders as a to do list but that never works very well. I belong to a book club and I have lists of books that I want to read and books that are in contention for picks when it’s my turn to pick the book. I have lists of movies I want to watch on flitter, netflix, and amazon. I have lists of books I’ve read on goodreads. Last fall I discovered a calendar/planner/ list maker that I believed was the answer to all of my listing needs. I downloaded pages and tried it out and really found myself focused and productive. It was a kickstarter project and I ordered one in December. I was so excited about it. Unfortunately the business owner ran into issues with shipping and I did not get it until February. By that time the thrill was gone and it’s just sitting on the table. I hope to revive it and use it eventually but I haven put that on any of my to do lists. Here is the link if anyone is interested.
